Casa Dorinda
Home to approximately 300 retired residents, Casa Dorinda's extensive makeover was trusted to Southern California's City Tile & Stone Tile. City Tile & Stone Tile used Merkrete's Hydro Guard SP-1, 720 DUSTLESS LHT mortar, 735 DUSTLESS Premium flex, Pro Epoxy Grout and Duracolor Grout to set approximately 20,000 sq. ft. of stone and tile to the facility's interior and exterior spaces.
Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort
Neighboring Disneyland and the largest convention center on the West Coast, the Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort was treated to a $33 million renovation. Merkrete supplied Reptile Inc. with plenty of Pro Patch Plus, Fracture Guard FD, Hydro Guard SP-1, 720 DUSTLESS LHT and 855 DUSTLESS XXL to set the tile that helped update the hotel's look.
Doris Miller Memorial
Celebrating the first African American to receive the Navy Cross, the Doris Miller Memorial marries bronze, stainless steel, natural stone and water in greater Waco, Texas. Darden Commercial Flooring deployed Merkrete's Hydro Guard SP-1 and 855 DUSTLESS XXL to ensure the reflecting pond's flamed and polished black granite installation lasts for generations.
Hollywood Eye Institute
Patients at Hollywood Eye Institute's grand opening had no trouble seeing the Cooper City, Fla.'s, gorgeous porcelain plank and natural stone interior and exterior surfaces. Kurve on Wilshire
Downtown Los Angeles' Kurve on Wilshire needed 225,000 sq. ft. of tile to complete construction. Complicating matters was organizing schedules and material deliveries during the height of a global pandemic. Naples Fire-Rescue Station
The Naples Fire-Rescue Department received a massive upgrade with the construction of a new $6.5 million, two-story building. Creative Stonework was tasked with applying 10,000 sq. ft. of large tile and porcelain planks to interior and exterior areas of the fire station. Merkrete made sure plenty of Hydro Guard SP-1 and 855 DUSTLESS XXL mortar was ready.
Riggs Washington DC
The redesign of Riggs Washington DC was a sizeable feat. Kevin Killian and Profast Commercial Flooring LLC helped transform the former bank into an upscale accommodation for visitors and residents to the capital. Merkrete's Underlay C, Hydro Guard SP-1, 820 DUSTLESS Merlite and Pro Epoxy Grout were the ideal materials for the hotel's new porcelain and marble surfaces.
Nueces County Courthouse
Richter Architects demanded that the mortar supporting the Nueces County Courthouse's $6.7 million restoration have a 50 psi minimum tensile strength. Frontier Waterproofing turned to Merkrete to provide a tile-setting solution that would pass rigorous pull-tests. Merkrete's Pro Epoxy performed far better than the contractors expected, beating out leading competitors' tile mortars.
